ADMS-Forecast was installed in Beijing in 2008. This service was for a limited period covering the pre-Games, Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, July-September 2008. CERC worked with partners KNMI (the Dutch Met Office) and Beijing Capital Normal University.
Forecasts for 3 days ahead were posted daily to a website and disseminated by e-mail to the project team. The forecasts were shown as high-resolution pollution contour maps with text summaries for each of Beijing's eight districts.
This forecasting system was a DRAGON2 project funded by the ESA under the PROMOTE programme.
