CERC carry out habitats assessments for a broad range of industries and local or regional authorities, in the UK and internationally.
Habitats assessments often form part of a wider assessment of air pollutants; for example, as part of a permit application or Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). Consideration of impacts on habitats can also be required as a standalone assessment, such as for designated conservation sites in close proximity to major roads for air quality management or planning purposes.
CERC use the ADMS 6 and ADMS-Urban models (depending on the requirements of the assessment) to calculate pollutant concentrations and/or deposition rates for the protection of vegetation and ecosystems. This may form, for example, part of a UK Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA), or an assessment under the EU Habitats Directive.
